Although the DARWin User’s Guide is an excellent resource for understanding the software, no teaching tool is more powerful than hands-on training. In the DARWin 3.1 workshop, experienced instructors will lead participants through the new features of the software so that they can be productive with DARWin 3.1 in the shortest possible time.
Course Availability

Course Content
The DARWin 3.1 Workshop employs a variety of instruction techniques, including lecture and discussion. The course focuses on real-life, practical workshop problems designed to address the everyday needs of the participants. Each subject area consists of four modes of instruction:
- A brief lecture and discussion session.
- A sample demonstration.
- A detailed workshop problem.
- A discussion of the results.
Course Outline
The course follows the outline of the workshop manual.
Hands-On Applications
About half of the instruction time will be devoted to computer workshop problems using DARWin 3.1. The workshop problems are the key to the success of the course, as they provide the students with the opportunity to solve practical problems.
Course Materials
A workshop manual is provided to each course participant. The manual serves as a valuable reference even after the completion of the workshop.
Course Instructors
The instructors for the course are all highly qualified individuals who are active in the pavement engineering field and are familiar with all the features and capabilities of DARWin.
